Cantor Emeritus at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim in Westmount (Montreal) since 2004, Cantor Sid Dworkin has been singing professionally for over 35 years. Throughout his career, he has recorded various CDs as well as a DVD.
Born and raised in Montreal, Cantor Dworkin has been the president of the Council of Hazzanim of Greater Montreal and also the director of the Y Country Camp, which contributes to the development of Jewish youth programs.
As the host and producer of the weekly radio programme, “The Cantor’s Corner” on Radio Shalom, Cantor Dworkin presents cantorial music of the past and the present.
Cantor Dworkin lives in Montreal with his wife and 7 children.
