Known as one of the leading exponents of Moroccan, Andalusian, Arab and Jewish Sephardic music, Layali El Andalus is a Judeo-Muslim ensemble based in New York. Comprised of Muslim, Jewish and Christian musicians, Layali El Andalus is led by Moroccan master musician and singer, Rachid Halihal who shares the stage with world class musicians – Daphna Mor, Brahim Fribgane, Uri Sharlin, Bruno Bruzzese, David Buchbut and Daniel Freedman.
The group’s vast repertoire include classical Arabic music from Lebanon and Egypt, Israeli and Sephardic Jewish music, North African-Andalusian, Chaabi and Genewa music, songs from Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen and folk music from the Middle East and the Gulf.
