Bob Cohen

Bob Cohen was born in New York City in 1956, and has been playing traditional music since his teen years. Trained in anthropology, he has collected folk music all over East Europe and the Balkans. He moved to Budapest, Hungary in 1988 and has since been active in the revival of Yiddish traditional music in East Europe. Cohen leads Di Naye Kapelye, one of the few traditional stye Klezmer bands working in Europe today.
