Abe Mor grew up in Afghanistan, surrounded by his musician father’s haunting songs. He moved first to Israel and finally settled in New York. Unable to make a living as a musician, he became a successful jeweler, while kept playing music.

Not remembering the original lyrics of the unique Afghani Jewish music, Mor rewrote the lyrics in Hebrew. As the last living Afghani Jewish musician, Mor is accompanied by two members of the Bukharian group, Sashmaqam.
