Artesian Films
ARTESIAN FILMS has been creating independent films for over two decades.
Artesian Films primarily focuses on documentaries, but has produced films of all genres, from fiction: Prometheus, The Ring and The Hat to the dance series: The Three Marias.
In our road-documentaries, we often explore simple subjects across time and culture in order to reveal their physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions. Faces of the Hand is a visual journey that looks deep into our hands as a mirror to human nature. Touched by Water is a documentary on water rituals around the world.
Several of our films are inspired by extraordinary active idealists. Step Up! is about a young dancer’s journey from losing a foot to dancing with Baryshnikov, and Believe in Me! is a documentary about teenaged fathers’ efforts to be involved dads. Also about dreamers and doers, Travelling Light follows the paths of 5 nomadic artists on their quest to live life as an art form.
